Aston Villa have approach rejected for Juventus’ Federico Chiesa

Premier League side Aston Villa have had an approach rejected for Juventus winger Federico Chiesa.

Chiesa has been linked with a potential exit from Juventus this summer amidst growing frustrations about his situation at the club. Gianluca di Marzio has reported that while Newcastle United are interested in the Italian and have asked for information from Juventus, Aston Villa have gone a step further.

They offered a fee of €60 million for the Bianconeri star and while that may have been enough for the Old Lady, Chiesa was not interested in joining the club as he isn’t convinced about the destination.

Chiesa has been linked with a move to Arsenal in recent weeks and the likes of Liverpool and Bayern Munich are also said to be interested in the winger. Reports have previously stated that he is frustrated at Juventus and with life under Max Allegri, whose usage of the player has been a key cause for concern.
