The Red and Greens announced news of the transfer via a post on their official club website this evening.
The 19-year-old initially signed dual-registration terms with the Warwickshire club during the first half of the season but Coventry United have now been able to sucure the player’s services on a permanent basis.
McAteer has been one of Coventry United’s most consistent performers this season. The striker has managed to find the back of the net on six occasions in just 12 games in all competitions. McAteer was on target for The Red and Greens as they recorded a 4-0 victory over Hashtag United in a Vitality Women’s FA Cup fourth round tie at the Butts Park Arena yesterday.
Coventry United have brought in a number of quality players during the January transfer window. The increase in talent in the team should only benefit McAteer who will be hoping to build on her impressive goal tally in the remainder of the season and help her club to secure Barclays Women’s Championship safety.
Coventry United continue their battle for Barclays Women’s Championship survival with a fixture at Charlton Athletic on Sunday afternoon.
