FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Villans earlier today.
It has been reported that Lehmann has extended her contract at The Poundland Bescot Stadium until summer 2026 while Aston Villa hold an option to extend the arrangement by a further year.
Lehmann was an important member of the team last season. She featured in all of Aston Villa’s 22 games in the Barclays Women’s Super League while she scored five goals. The player has stepped up as The Villans’ squad has evolved at a rapid rate and she has been a dependable option for head coach Carla Ward to call upon.
After retaining Lehmann’s services for an extended period, Aston Villa head coach Ward said “Alisha has been a big part of our journey since I arrived and has played a huge part in our progression as a football club.
“She is a very important piece to the puzzle and is someone I thoroughly enjoy working with.
“We’re delighted she’s committed her long-term future with us.”
Lehmann becomes the third player to sign a contract extension with Aston Villa during the close season.
