Aston Villa expected to sign Milot Rashica despite Leipzig interest | OneFootball

According to reports out of his native Kosovo, Werder Bremen star Milot Rashica is on the verge of signing for Aston Villa.

The winger has been linked to several huge clubs, including Liverpool and RB Leipzig, yet it’s Villa who look to be set to win the battle for the 24-year-old winger.

Rashica scored eight goals and added seven assists in just 28 league matches as Werder narrowly avoided relegation, besting Heidenheim in the play-off.

Last week, manager Florian Kohfeldt admitted that Rashica is on the verge of a move, which explained why he was omitted from their pre-season friendly.

“We mutually decided not to use Rashica due to the possible situation of a transfer.”

Now, with Manchester United winger Tahith Chong set to arrive to seal a season-long loan move in the next 48 hours, it’s expected that Villa will be announcing Rashica sooner rather than later.
