Aston Villa condemned Everton to defeat on Brian Sørensen's 50th game in charge.
Scorers: Stenevik 85'; Dali 55', Salmon 60'
Sent off: Stenevik
The visitors finally broke the deadlock early in the second half through Kenza Dali's low drive past Courtney Brosnan from outside the penalty area.
Ebony Salmon doubled the Villians' lead just five minutes later with a well-guided header from Jordan Nobbs' cross into the far corner of the net.
But Elise Stenevik reduced the hosts' deficit in the final stages by getting ahead of Anna Leat to power home Aurora Galli's delivery.
The defender was later sent off deep into added time for a second bookable offence after a rash challenge.
Carla Ward's side replaced Leicester City in seventh place while Everton remain 10th in the WSL table.
