Aston Villa confirm signing of Douglas Luiz

Aston Villa have officially confirmed the signing of Manchester City midfielder Douglas Luiz.

Luiz joins the club for a reported €17m fee, subject to work permit approval.

“Douglas is an extremely talented young player with an outstanding pedigree,” head coach Dean Smith told the club’s official website.

“I am sure he will fit nicely into our style and system of play.”

The Villains are also expected to secure a deal for Club Brugge midfielder Marvelous Nakamba in the coming days.
