Aston Villa confirm Donyell Malen capture from Borrusia Dortmund | OneFootball

In the worst-kept secret of this transfer window, Aston Villa has finally confirmed the signing of Donyell Malen from Borrusia Dortmund following weeks of speculation.

The 25-year-old forward, who has over 100 career goals signs for Villa in a deal said to be worth £19.3 million with a further £2.5 million in add-ons.

Malen will link up with Dutch teammate Ian Maatsen who he also played alongside at Dortmund last season as they both helped BVB to reach the Champions League Final.

The Dutch International is known for his direct, pacey dribbling netted 39 times and assisted a further 20 in 139 games for the Bundesliga giants since signing from PSV in 2021.

He will wear the number 17 shirt and is expected to make his debut when Villa travel to one of his former clubs Arsenal at the weekend.
