Aston Villa complete signing of Diego Carlos from Sevilla | OneFootball

Aston Villa have officially completed the signing of Diego Carlos from Sevilla for an undisclosed fee reported to be in the region of €31m.

The 29-year-old centre-back has signed a four-year deal at Villa Park and will join the club on 10 June when the transfer window opens.

“I am really happy because the Premier League is one of the best competitions,” Carlos told the club’s official website.

“I always want to do the best for the club and the shirt I’m wearing.

“Even now I can’t believe I’m here because it’s a dream to compete in the Premier League. And now I have a very clear opportunity, I hope to give it 100% my best, and to be able to play to the best of my ability.”

A gold medal winner with Brazil at the 2020 Olympic Games, Carlos spent the last three seasons at Sevilla, helping the LaLiga outfit lift the Europa League two years ago.
