Aston Villa manager Dean Smith has confirmed Leon Bailey is out until next month.

The Jamaican picked up a quad injury in the 3-0 defeat of Everton shortly after he came on and scored at Villa Park.

He will now be sidelined for the next two games, against Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, with Villa set to see how he is closer to the Wolverhampton Wanderers clash on October 16.

"Leon has a strain which is likely to keep him out until after the international break," Smith told club media.

"We would be hopeful that he would be available for the Wolves game but we will need to assess him nearer the time and see how he progresses over the next ten days or so."

However, Villa did confirm that midfielder John McGinn was available for their trip to Old Trafford this weekend.
