In a recent report, journalist Pete O’Rourke stated that Aston Villa are showing interest in Red Bull Salzburg youngster Oscar Gloukh. It has been revealed that the Villans are eyeing a move to bring the Israel international to Villa Park in the summer.
The 19-year-old is having an impressive campaign at the Austrian club as he has managed to put in a few eye-catching displays for them in the final third. Gloukh has found the back of the net on six occasions and picked up seven assists in 28 appearances for RB Salzburg this season across multiple competitions.
The Israel sensation has caught the eye with his performances in the Austrian Bundesliga but is still unproven at the highest level. His current deal at Salzburg will run out in the summer of 2027 which would make it tough for Aston Villa boss Unai Emery to sign him on the cheap later this year.

Gloukh can make some good runs with the ball in the attacking end of the field. He has got the eye to play a few decisive passes in the opponent’s half and can shoot the ball with power and precision from long range.
The Israel international has done well to add a lot of goals and assists to his game this season. He mainly operates in the number ten position but can also play as a box-to-box midfielder if asked to do so by his manager.
Gloukh is already good enough to challenge for a regular starting spot at a club like Aston Villa. However, it remains to be seen whether he can make a smooth transition to life in English football. At 19, Gloukh has the potential to become a world-class player in his position someday.
The Salzburg whizkid might even help the Villans push for European football once again in the coming seasons. Therefore, the West Midlands club would be wise to go for Gloukh when the transfer window reopens in the summer as he has what it takes to prove himself to be a success story at Villa Park in the long run.
