In a recent report, The Sun mentioned that Aston Villa are keeping a keen eye on Norwich City winger Jonathan Rowe ahead of the January transfer window. It has been claimed that the Villans are eager to seal a move for the English wide player this winter.

Rowe’s Impressive Rise At Norwich

Rowe is having an impressive season at Carrow Road after putting in a string of productive performances for the Canaries in the final third. The 20-year-old has found the back of the net on 11 occasions and earned two assists in 22 matches for Norwich this season across various competitions.

The English sensation has been a consistent performer in the opponent’s half as he is averaging 2.1 shots, 1.1 key passes and 1.1 dribbles per 90 minutes in the English Championship. However, he has to find a way to improve his ball distribution after completing 74.9% of his attempted passes in the second tier of English football (stats via whoscored).

His current deal at Norwich City will expire in the summer of 2025. Therefore, the Villans could potentially sign him on a cut-price deal this winter or at the end of this season.

Should Aston Villa Boss Unai Emery Bring Rowe On Board?

Rowe is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few dangerous runs with the ball out on the flanks. He has got the vision to create some decent chances for his teammates on the offensive end of the field. The English sensation can even shoot the ball with venom from long range and deserves credit for adding a lot of goals to his game this season.

We can expect Rowe to bring more goals and creativity to Aston Villa head coach Unai Emery’s attack. He has what it takes to help the West Midlands club challenge across all fronts in the coming seasons.

At 20, Rowe has got the ceiling to become a top player in his position someday. Therefore, the Villans should consider going all out to bring the Norwich City prospect on board in the upcoming winter transfer period.
