Aston Villa have announced the club's intent to upgrade and expand the North Stand at Villa Park.
As part of the redevelopment of the iconic stand, it will see its capacity increased to over 12,000.
The existing structure will be adapted throughout the construction process, ensuring that there is little to no disruption to matchgoing supporters while work is taking place.
Statement from Executive Chairman of Aston Villa FC Nassef Sawiris on the North Stand redevelopment.–
The club also estimate that the stand's proposed redevelopment will generate an additional £120m per year to the local economy, supporting 1,700 full-time jobs and attracting over one million visitors to the stadium per year.
As part of the expansion plans and in conjunction with upgrades to other areas of the ground, it is set to bring the capacity of Villa Park to over 50,000.
It is estimated that work will be completed in the latter half of 2027.
