Harry Wilson’s future looks almost certain to be away from Liverpool with the young attacker being put on the market by the Reds following his impressive season on loan at Derby.
That news was reported by the Liverpool Echo last week with a host of top clubs then being linked with the 21-year-old.
The likes of Leeds, Leicester and Hoffenheim were all believed to be keen but a story in the Birmingham Mail on Sunday has claimed that there are now just two sides in a fight for his signature.
They say that Wolves and Aston Villa are the clubs going toe-to-toe for Wilson, with both prepared to pay the €25m it would take to prize him away from Anfield.
Villa are ready to give the Wales international assurances that he will be a key part of their attack for next season.
Wolves meanwhile can offer the youngster the chance of European football and the of a potential top-six finish.
