Aston Villa ace Jacob Ramsey is one of several players enjoying a terrific season under manager Unai Emery.
The 23-year-old has featured in nine Premier League games this season, providing two assists.
Ramsey has also been an integral part of their Champions League campaign, helping Villa sit in one of the automatic qualification slots.
The Birmingham-born starlet has already set his sights on bigger targets.
Ramsey said (via Stadium Astro): “Personal goals? I think the national team. Obviously, my old under-21 coach has been interim for the seniors, and he’s brought a lot of young players up.
“When I saw that transition, I thought to myself if these players I played with from the 2023 European Championship have got called up, why can’t I?”
England interim manager Lee Carsley recently called up some new players for their November Nations League games against Greece and the Republic of Ireland.
Newcastle United left-back Lewis Hall got his first call-up alongside Taylor Harwood-Bellis of Southampton.
He captained Ramsey at the Euros. Unfortunately, the Villa man was not on the senior list.
The Villa academy graduate needs to keep strutting his stuff for Emery’s side, and he may just get the call to represent the national team under incoming permanent boss Thomas Tuchel.
The Three Lions have massive competition in midfield with Jude Bellingham, Declan Rice, Kobbie Mainoo, and Adam Wharton contending for playing time.
