AS Monaco left-back Caio Henrique moved up to fifth place in the official Ligue 1 Uber Eats assists chart after bagging his seventh assist of the season in the 2-0 win in Clermont in Round 22.

The competition is heating up at the top of the official Ligue 1 Uber Eats assist chart. Behind the two leading men - Lionel Messi and Neymar (PSG) - who have been much less prolific at cooking up goals since their return from the World Cup, three men have stood out at the start of 2023. Branco van den Boomen (Toulouse FC) came within three lengths of top spot in mid-week Round 21 and was joined by Caio Henrique on Sunday. Just above them, OM's Jonathan Clauss is just one assist behind the Parisian duo after notching his ninth of the season. Caio Henrique: Set-piece king!

Caio Henrique, involved in AS Monaco's opening goal in Clermont (0-2), once again showed the quality of his left foot. In 19 games, the Brazilian full-back has conjured seven assists and is now just one behind his record of eight in a single season (set last year). Since the start of the season, the defender has made four assists from set-pieces (two from corners and two from free-kicks), the highest total in Ligue 1 Uber Eats this season. He is now fifth in the table and level with van den Boomen in fourth. Clauss rekindles the suspense Just ahead of them, Jonathan Clauss is breathing down the leading duo's necks more than ever. The OM right-winger's precise cross for Ruslan Malinovskyi's goal against OGC Nice (1-3) earned him his ninth assist of the season.
