In the last two games, Everton held Liverpool and Chelsea for an extact 0-0 draw to extract two crucial points. Their next game is against Manchester City, who are already going through a tough period at the moment. Hence, they will be under pressure throughout the 90 minutes.

The Toffees can take inspiration from their previous two games in which they upheld characters against two giants. They can produce similar sort of problems for the Citizens, who are already feeling the heat as they haven’t tasted a victory for so long now.

Defence

Jordan Pickford is leading the race for the Golden Glove so far and will be motivated to keep another clean sheet in the league. Ashley Young is unavailable after having picked his fifth yellow card of the season and his right-back position is likely to be grabbed by skipper Seamus Coleman.

No change at the centre of the backline as the duo of Jarrad Branthwaite and James Tarkowski remain intact. Even left-back Vitalii Mykolenko gets retained in the lineup as he has been impressive so far.

Midfield

Idrissa Gana Gueye did well as the defensive midfielder on the pitch and his position is unlikely to be challenged. Orel Mangala and Abdoulaye Doucoure are likely to be his other two partners in the middle of the park.

Attack

The formation of the attacking unit somewhat depends upon the fitness level of Dwight McNeil. The attacker has missed the previous two games but should he get the green light, he will walk back inot the XI. If not both Jack Harrison and Iliman Ndiaye should continue to be deployed on the offensive front.

Another decision Sean Dyche has to make is whether to use Dominic Calvert-Lewin or not. The striker hasn’t scored in his last 12 outings, which is a concern now.
