Kwadwo Asamoah will not be in the Inter squad for tomorrow night’s final Champions League group stage match against Barcelona according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.

The Ghanaian defender has been dealing with a knee injury as of late and although he made an appearance of the bench in Friday’s draw with Roma, he will not be available for selection to take on the Catalan giants.

With Asamoah out injured, Valentino Lazaro and Cristiano Biraghi are battling it out between themselves to start at left wing back.

Antonio Candreva sustained a back injury against Roma but was back in training alongside the rest of his teammates today. Despite his return to training, it is far more likely that Danilo D’Ambrosio will start at right wing back.

The report also states that Borja Valero will retain his starting slot in the midfield. The 34-year-old will play alongside Matias Vecino and Marcelo Brozovic.
