AS Roma and Everton are keen on signing Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech

According to Daily Mail, Everton are among the clubs interested in signing Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech. Serie A side AS Roma are also in the race.

A few days ago, it was reported in the Mail that Newcastle United are interested in signing three Chelsea players in January – Ziyech, Conor Gallagher and Ruben Loftus-Cheek. But, Graham Potter is only open to letting go of the Moroccan international.

Everton are big admirers of the former Ajax Amsterdam winger, who has been a bit-part player at Chelsea. Toffees boss Frank Lampard wants to sign him, having played a key role in bringing him to Stamford Bridge in 2020 as a Blues manager.

But, as per the report, it would be very interesting to know whether Ziyech is open to moving to a club that is fighting for relegation survival in the Premier League.

The 29-year-old is a top player who, during the World Cup, showed how good he can be when playing regularly. His performance for Chelsea against Liverpool was a good one too, barring a few mishit crosses.

The Blues have spent quite a lot of money on buying wide attackers in the January window. The latest is left-footed winger Noni Madueke, who plays in the same position as Ziyech.

Logic would say that Ziyech’s departure is imminent. If it is to be, there is no reason why he also may not be wanting to stay. His performance at the World Cup was a reminder of the damage he can do in the right system.

More Chelsea News:

With how good he can be, it is a shame that things did not work out for him for us. The 29-year-old is still a quality player who would impact the next team he plays for. If he goes to Everton, their chances of surviving relegation improve by a considerable margin.
