Get French Football News understands that AS Monaco have turned down FC Twente’s approach to loan Myron Boadu (23).
Boadu’s agent, Jose Fortes Rodriguez, alluded to a breakdown in negotiations between Monaco and Twente regarding a loan deal for the Dutch forward, telling Telegraaf that he “gets sick of clubs that only think about money”. Twente’s interest in Boadu was first revealed by manager Joseph Oosting told ESPN that he believed that the club’s hierarchy were working on a deal.
However, Get French Football News understands that Twente were unwilling to pay Boadu’s salary over the course of the loan deal, whilst the Principality club had received other offers that were more in line with Monaco’s expectations. However, former AZ Alkmaar forward Boadu rejected those offers.
Sevilla had previously shown interest in Boadu, as had an unnamed Ligue 1 club. Ultimately, with Twente’s bid falling short of what could be deemed an acceptable offer, negotiations with Monaco have broken down.
