According to L’Équipe, AS Monaco are currently in negotiations with Chelsea over the signing of Armando Broja (22). The Principality club are currently leading Watford and AC Milan in the race to sign the striker, who spent the second half of the season on loan at Fulham.

Last week, Monaco confirmed that captain, and the club’s second all-time top-scorer, Wissam Ben Yedder, was set to leave the club upon the expiry of his contract. Whilst Les Monégasques still have Folarin Balogun and Breel Embolo in their ranks, the club are looking to add another element to their attack as they prepare to play in the UEFA Champions League next season.

Georges Mikautadze, currently on loan at FC Metz from Ajax, is an option being studied, as is Chelsea’s Broja. L’Équipe now reveal that talks between the Premier League side and Monaco are ongoing. The Principality club are looking to bring down Chelsea’s asking price by including a range of bonuses, as well as a sell-on percentage. However, Monaco may face competition, with EFL Championship side Watford and Serie A side AC Milan also following Broja’s situation at Chelsea.
