Sitting 23rd in the Championship and three points adrift of safety, Mick McCarthy will be striving to keep Blackpool in the division in what remains of this campaign.
The Seasiders are winless in their last 10 league games, however, they will be hoping that a change of management and the January transfer window will aid them in their pursuit of surviving the drop.
Whilst we wait and see what the rest of the season has in store for McCarthy and Co. at Bloomfield Road, here, we take a look at the four individuals who will see their Blackpool contracts expire this summer…
Jordan Thorniley
Jordan Thorniley has appeared 18 times in the Championship this season and has been an important member of the squad.
However, he will see his contract at Bloomfield Road expire in the summer and it remains to be seen if contract talks are underway.
The Seasiders have seen Curtis Nelson and Charlie Goode arrive last month and it will be interesting to see if that will have an impact on Thorniley.
Curtis Nelson
Curtis Nelson penned down a deal with the Lancashire club until the end of the season when he signed a few days ago from Cardiff City.
A player who will be hoping to nail down a starting spot as the rest of the campaign progresses, Nelson will bring athleticism and experience to Blackpool’s backline.

Keshi Anderson
Blackpool fans know exactly how good Keshi Anderson is but unfortunately, he has managed just 35 minutes of league action this season.
Currently sidelined with a Medial Collateral Ligament, it remains to be seen when he will be back and fit again.
His current injury situation makes it difficult to see how his contract situation will play out as it will expire in the summer.
Stuart Moore
There are good levels of competition within Blackpool’s goalkeeping department but one person that does not benefit is Stuart Moore.
Emerging as the club’s third-choice, being Daniel Grimshaw and Chris Maxwell, it would appear that the Seasiders will be in no hurry to offer fresh terms.
Moore has not appeared in the Championship this season for the Lancashire club.
Expiring contracts with options
Callum Connolly, CJ Hamilton, Shayne Lavery, Kenny Dougall and James Husband, all have contracts that are set to expire when the summer comes around, however, the club are in the position of power as they have the option of extending these deals for another year.
