Inter midfielder Arturo Vidal trained with the rest of the squad ahead of the Nerazzurri’s trip to Ukraine to face Shakhtar Donetsk.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Chilean was part of the group at the club’s training ground as they completed one last session before they head off for tomorrow’s Champions League clash.

Vidal has been dealing with a strain to his right thigh for more than a week, having been ruled out of the Nerazzurri’s Serie A fixtures against Bologna, Fiorentina, and Atalanta as he has recovered.

However, he could return sooner than expected, with his participation in the training sessions suggesting that he could be on his way back to finding full fitness.

The 34-year-old may not be ready to be part of Nerazzurri’s squad to face Shakhtar, but it remains to be seen whether he will be back in time for this weekend’s clash with Sassuolo or for participation in the international break with Chile.
