Inter midfielder Arturo Vidal looks set to miss the Nerazzurri’s Serie A match against Atalanta on Saturday as he continues to heal from a thigh strain.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the same issue which kept him out of the Nerazzurri’s last two Serie A matches will rule him out of the clash with La Dei at the San Siro as well.
Vidal suffered the strain to his right thigh prior to Saturday’s match with Bologna and was unable to appear, and he also missed yesterday evening’s trip to the Stadio Artemio Franchi to face Fiorentina.
The Chilean will almost certainly miss the home fixture against Atalanta this coming Saturday, while he is also a serious doubt for the Champions League trip to Ukraine to face to Shakhtar Donetsk and the subsequent Serie A clash with Sassuolo.
The Neroverdi match is the last club fixture before the October international break, and while the Chilen national team is ready to call the 34-year-old up for the matches during the break it is also unclear if he will be ready to make his return by then.
