Arturo Vidal will make his full debut for Inter when the Nerazzurri play Benevento this evening, according to Wednesday’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Chilean featured as a substitute in the 4-3 win at home to Fiorentina on Saturday, replacing Marcelo Brozovic with 15 minutes left, having completed a move from Barcelona last month.

But Antonio Conte will promote him to the starting XI for the trip to the Stadio Ciro Vigorito, which will also include Stefan de Vrij and Achraf Hakimi, another player due to make his first start for the club.

Gazzetta explained how Vidal was crucial to Conte’s tactical plans in midfield, enabling him to switch seamlessly from a 3-5-2 system to 3-4-1-2 during matches.

The Milanese publication praised his ability to make runs from midfield but also his intelligence to manage his energy levels, instead of running about for no reason when it isn’t necessary.
