Arturo Vidal’s Bayern future has been the subject of much speculation recently and he starts on the bench as the Bavarians face Werder Bremen.
The impending arrival of Leon Goretzka has seen some claim that Vidal will now leave the club in the summer.
And Javi Martínez, James and Thomas Müller are preferred by Jupp Heynckes in the central areas for Sunday’s match.
Robert Lewandowski comes back into the side after missing last weekend’s win over Bayer Leverkusen through injury.
Josue Kimmich, who was too ill to be able to start that match, also returns.
David Alaba is sick this week, meaning that Juan Bernat will play at left-back.
Werder Bremen, meanwhile, make three changes to the side that drew with Hoffenheim last time out.
Bayern can extend their lead at the top of the table to 16 points with a victory, while Werder Bremen are looking to put some distance between them and the automatic relegation spots.
