In the interview, Arthur admitted his friendship with Neymar began when he was called up to the national team.

“He’s a very simple guy, very playful. We have become very close and he has helped me a lot with the national team.

“When he came to Barcelona, he called me for dinner, to do something ourselves. We always play video games together.

“We play almost every day: when he plays on my team, he wins, but when he plays against me, he loses,” he joked.

Also, the Barcelona midfielder heaped praise of his Barcelona team-mate, Leo Messi.

“He is a guy that I admire… I think he gave me a lot of confidence, I really was not expecting it. He helps me during training and matches.

“If the best in the world praises you, I think it gives you extra confidence. I am very grateful for the words and the attitude he has with me.”

Finally, the Brazilian also referred to his predecessors Xavi and Iniesta. He confessed that Xavi is someone who has always inspired him.

“I always admired him, everything he did, I tried to do the same, it’s a phenomenon, it’s much more cerebral than anything. ”

On Iniesta, he highlighted the pride of being able to wear the famous number eight: “It has a special flavor to wear your idol’s shirt.

“I felt very happy to use his number and I hope to honor the shirt that gave so much joy to the Barça fan.”
