Arteta Warns Arsenal of Fierce Premier League Title Challenge
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta believes the new Premier League season will bring "unmatched competition" as his team starts their campaign away to Man United on Sunday.
The Gunners invested 199.5m sterling pound in 6 new signings according to Sky Sports.
Despite that outlay, Liverpool topped the spending charts with £295m followed by Chelsea with £257m.
After finishing runners up in each of the past 3 season, Arsenal're determined to end their 20 year wait for the league title.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Arteta said:
"Winning the PL demands excellence. The level required's something we haven’t experienced yet. The consistency of top teams, the quality of players and the work of rival coaches make this season the toughest"
Arteta now in his 5th season stressed that his side must improve further:
"We’ve collected more points than anyone in the last 3 year but it still hasn’t been enough. We’ve played well but not well enough to win the league"..
