Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is set to bench Hector Bellerin in favour of Cedric Soares for the Premier League opener against Brentford.

The Gunners will host Thomas Frank's newly promoted side on August 13.

Arteta has a decision to make at right-back as Bellerin has told the club he wants to leave this summer.

Bellerin's representatives are speaking to clubs in Italy and Spain over a potential move, per football.london.

Arteta has been impressed with the form of Soares in preseason.

The Portuguese is now in contention to start at right-back against the Bees, having been used sparingly last season.
