Here is what he had to say.

On Patrick Vieira

“He’s an Arsenal legend and I hope he gets the reception he deserves for what he did as a player and a person.

“He was the captain of the football club in the most successful era.”

On team news

“Not any bad news. At the moment everybody seems to be ok.

“Granit is progressing really well but know it is a long term injury and he’s not going to be available.

“(On Partey) Well let’s see.

“We haven’t had the players here yet some of them because they’re still travelling. He played well and scored a couple of goals.

“(On Martinelli) Unfortunately he got injured last week. It’s a minor injury, we don’t know if he’s going to be available for Monday.

“No I’m very happy with him, we’re not thinking of anything like that (a loan away from the club).”

On Granit Xhaka’s recovery

“With Granit I don’t know.

“But what I’m sure is that if you tell him three he will be thinking two and he will be cutting edges and doing extra work to manage that time. We have to manage him carefully.”

On cutting edge in front of goal

“It’s something that certainly we can do better.

“We can improved our efficiency in front of goal. When we get that balance right it will help us to win more games.”

On Lacazette’s future

“No. We are focusing on getting the best out of Laca.

“He’s showing every day his commitment is here. We want to give him the right minutes.”
