“I don’t know. We will have to go day by day, when we get close and depending how he’s feeling, we will make that decision.

“He is keen to play for us again this season and obviously his country in the Euros.”

On Ødegaard’s fitness …

“We will assess him today how he’s feeling. He’s been carrying an injury for the last few days since he got injured with the national team.”

On not buying a left back in January …

“We could not do anything on that window. We decided to let Kolašinac out on loan as well and it’s a decision that we made.”

On other players returning …

Yes, today is the day when they (Granit Xhaka, Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe) will train fully with the team – let’s see how they feel.

“That’s the reality you have to change something you have to find a different way of attacking.

“The transition has to be stable and be done by players who are good at that.”

On whether Aubameyang has to improve …

“I think the whole team and myself have to put better performances than we did against Liverpool that’s for sure.”

On Slavia Prague …

“They are a really strong side. They’re unbeaten in the league. They’ve always been in the game. Really difficult, brave exciting. Top attitude all the time.”
