The candidates for the latest edition of the Ballon d’Or have been announced.
After Lionel Messi’s eighth title in 2023, the search is on for the Argentine phenomenon’s successor for what is the most prestigious individual award in the world of football.

The final ceremony will be held on October 28 in Paris.
Among the nominees is Roma’s Artem Dovbyk.
The Ukrainian striker is listed among the 30 candidates for his goal-scoring prowess during his last season with Girona during which he proved to be La Liga’s top goal-scorer.
Other candidates include Jude Bellingham, Ruben Dias, Phil Foden, Nico Williams, Toni Kross and Granit Xhaka, to name a few.
