Saturday’s Euro 2024 qualifier between Ukraine and England was ignited by a goal from an Arsenal star … but it wasn’t Bukayo Saka.
Instead, it was Gunners left-back Oleksandar Zinchenko who opened the scoring in the Polish city of Wrocław, finishing off Yukhym Konoplya’s cut-back tidily past Jordan Pickford.
Gareth Southgate named a team featuring three surprising selections Jordan Henderson, Marc Guéhi and James Maddison.
England needn’t have worried for too long, however, before Zinchenko’s former Manchester City team-mate Kyle Walker equalised when he latched onto a brilliant Harry Kane ball and finished.
