After taking 30 players to Germany, Arsenal have slightly reduced those numbers for the tour of the USA, with a few new players added to the squad and a few more taken out.
The same three goalkeepers have gone to the U.S., with Matt Turner just having finished his international duty and Arthur Okonkwo an unexplained absentee again.
In defence, Jurrien Timber has joined the list, but Cedric Soares has dropped out along with youth defender Reuell Walters. Timber’s addition would likely have limited opportunities for those two.
Similarly, midfielders Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri have both dropped out of the squad, with new signing Declan Rice coming along instead. Albert Sambi Lokonga is out injured.
In attack, Reiss Nelson is another unexplained absentee, along with Nicolas Pepe, who probably still isn’t fit after he missed the end of last season with an injury.
With those two out, youth winger Amario Cozier-Duberry has been given the chance to step up.
Below is the full travelling party for the U.S. tour. For now, there are 27 players, though Thomas Partey and Emile Smith Rowe are expected to join the squad next week.
