Alan Nixon reports that Arsenal want £20m for Ainsley Maitland-Niles this summer, and £30m for Joe Willock. After the duo raised their profiles with Premier League loan spells in January, the Gunners are clearly unwilling to let them leave for cheap.

We know there’s interest in both players within the Premier League. The BBC have reported that Maitland-Niles is attracting interest from three Premier League clubs in Leicester, Southampton, and Burnley.

As for Joe Willock, Newcastle United are obviously desperate to bring him back if they can.

So far, the issue is that neither of those cases have led to serious offers being reported.

Despite rumours that Watford and Southampton were preparing to make bids for Maitland-Niles, those reports were never followed up. Similarly, there’s never been any suggestion that Newcastle have actually offered money for Willock.

Most likely, clubs are biding their team to see if Arsenal will waver and drop their valuation later in the window. Let’s hope they can hold firm and get a good payday if the duo really are to leave.
