rsenal will be keen to impress back in front of their home fans as they take on Monaco in the Emirates Cup this evening.
The Gunners enjoyed a successful conclusion to their pre-season tour to the USA, beating Barcelona 5-3 in a thrilling encounter as they bounced back from a defeat to Manchester United in New York.
The Emirates Cup is again a one-off fixture this year, with the women’s team not involved due to the World Cup, and it is the first time it is taking place in midweek. That is due to the Community Shield, with Arsenal facing Manchester City this weekend.
With just ten days to go until the Premier League season kicks off and Mikel Arteta’s side welcome Nottingham Forest to north London, Arsenal will want to be finding something close to top form.
