With lots of arrivals and departures expected at the end of the current campaign, here is a round-up of the latest Arsenal transfer news coming out of the Emirates Stadium.

Marco Asensio offer made

Recent news from Marco Asensio’s camp has stated that Arsenal are looking to sign the Real Madrid attacker this summer.

Speaking to SportMediaset on the future of the 26-year-old, one of Asensio’s representatives said:

“Milan’s interest is a pride, a future in Milan is an option. There are also offers from a couple of English clubs, including Arsenal. We are ready to evaluate every possibility.”

Asensio is in the final year of his contract at the Santiago Bernabeu and Madrid could be on his way out with Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe widely expected to join the Spanish giants on a free transfer.

Gareth Bale heading back to North London?

Asensio is not the only Madrid player linked with a move to Arsenal as Fichajes claims Gareth Bale is also a target for the Gunners.

Like Asensio, the Welshman will become a free agent in the summer and could now be set for a shock switch to Arsenal off the back of two different spells with Tottenham Hotspur.

Bale would be a shrewd addition especially if Nicolas Pepe leaves after the latter recently expressed doubts over his long-term future at Arsenal.

Despite being on the first-team fringes at Madrid for the last couple of seasons, the 32-year-old remains a potent attacking threat on his day and a return to England may help reignite his career.

Xhaka out, Paredes in

Granit Xhaka was close to securing a move to Roma last summer and Jose Mourinho’s men are keen on reviving their interest in the former Arsenal captain, per Gazzetta dello Sport.

Fellow Italian outlet Calciomercato are reporting that Leandro Paredes could be snapped up as a potential replacement for Xhaka.

Paredes has established himself as a mainstay for club and country due to his impressive performances at the Parc des Princes.

The Argentine is currently sidelined with a torn abductor muscle but that should not hinder the Gunners from making a move for the midfielder, who is valued at €20million.
