Arsenal are keeping tabs on Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi, who is likely to push for an exit during the summer transfer window, the Guardian report.

The England international had a brilliant start to his senior career four years ago but unfortunately picked up an Achilles injury within the space of months.

Hudson-Odoi has since struggled to find form or consistency, and he is currently on a season-long loan at Bayer Leverkusen where he has barely impressed.

It is now claimed that the 22-year-old will push for an exit on his return to Stamford Bridge. The Gunners are one of the clubs monitoring his progress.

Stay away

Hudson-Odoi was regarded as one of the best Chelsea graduates in 2019, and he was the subject of strong interest from Bayern Munich in the same year.

The Blues decided against selling him due to his huge potential, but things have not gone as planned. Hudson-Odoi is currently away on loan in Bundesliga.

The £22 million-rated star has registered just one goal and one assist from 17 games for Leverkusen and it is quite surprising that Arsenal are looking at him.

Of course, manager Mikel Arteta could have a different view on the England international but Arsenal should stay away from the winger.

Hudson-Odoi had a bright start to his Blues career, but his fortunes have gone in the same trajectory as Reiss Nelson over the past 18 months.

Similar to Nelson, he was touted for big things after breaking out from the youth system, but there is still unfulfilled potential which has not been realised.

Arsenal are on course to qualify for next season’s Champions League and should look at more high-profile additions to the squad this summer.

The Gunners return to Premier League action against Everton on Saturday.
