Arsenal plan to offer Emile Smith Rowe a bumper new contract.

The 20-year-old has played a key role in the Gunners' revival in recent weeks and is currently central to Mikel Arteta's first-team plans.

The midfielder will enter the final two years of his current deal in the summer — but the club want to remove any uncertainty by giving him a long-term extension before the start of next season, says the Daily Mail.

Smith Rowe earns in the region of £15,000 a week but he can expect a significant pay increase, though Arsenal could look to stagger that in relation to the fans' return.

Fellow academy graduate Bukayo Saka committed his future to the club earlier this season, signing a new deal worth close to £40,000 a week, and Smith Rowe can expect a similar salary.
