Tottenham have reportedly scouted Lecces midfielder Morten Hjulmand several times, but the player dreams of joining Arsenal.

Morten Hjulmand has been drawing interest from many clubs, including those in Italy and foreign teams.

His current price tag is around €15m, and Tottenham and Borussia Dortmund are among the clubs that have been scouting him ahead of a possible move in the summer.

Hjulmand’s childhood dream: Playing for Arsenal

However, Hjulmand’s love for Arsenal may make him less inclined to join their rivals, despite the interest shown by Tottenham.

In an article last month, it was revealed that the midfielder grew up with a picture of Patrick Vieira on his wall whilst he also has the Arsenal badge tattooed on his left shoulder, something I’m sure would go down well in the Tottenham dressing room.

A defensive midfielder, the 23-year-old has made 25 appearances this season, assisting five and picking up two separate suspensions (one after a red card, another after accumulating yellows).

From Copenhagen U19 to Lecce: Hjulmand’s journey in football

In the 16/17 season, Hjulmand started his journey in football by joining Copenhagen U19 from FCK Youth on July 1, 2016.

Two seasons later, in the 18/19 season, Hjulmand made a move from Copenhagen U19 to Admira Wacker on July 1, 2018 on a free transfer.
