Houssem Aouar has been frozen out at Lyon.

Arsenal target Aouar has reportedly been left out of the Lyon squad to take on Reims this weekend after refusing to train.

Aouar was an unused substitute in Lyon's 1-0 win over Angers on Sunday, and, as a result, opted against warming down with his team-mates after the match.

L'Equipe says sporting director Juninho and director of football Vincent Ponsot, with the consent of president Jean-Michel Aulas, have decided to punish the 22-year-old.

The midfielder claimed that he didn't want to take part in the half-hour warm down, which had been pre-scheduled by staff as an alternative to training on Monday, because of the condition of the pitch.

His refusal to leave the dressing room, which he retreated to a few minutes before the final whistle, rubbed Lyon staff up the wrong way.
