Arsenal suffer huge blow with Havertz set for surgery and lengthy spell out

Arsenal have been dealt a significant setback as Kai Havertz is now expected to undergo surgery on his latest injury, which could rule him out for the majority of the season. The news comes at a particularly difficult time, given the high expectations surrounding both the player and the club’s campaign.

The German international had already endured a challenging spell with injuries, having only returned to action towards the end of last season. The timing could hardly be worse for Arsenal, who had been planning to rotate between Havertz and Gyokeres throughout the campaign. Without Havertz available, the club is left with reduced depth in attack and fewer options to ease the pressure on their new signing.
