Sheffield Wednesday have signed Tyreece John-Jules from Arsenal on loan.

Just a few days ago, YorkshireLive reported that Sheffield Wednesday were in advanced talks to sign Tyreece John-Jules on loan from Arsenal.

The two clubs have now agreed a deal for the player to complete a temporary move to the end of the campaign.

John-Jules will wear the number 30.

The deal makes some sense, given Wednesday boss Darren Moore has already worked with John-Jules at Doncaster Rovers.

During a loan spell in 2020/21, John-Jules was directly involved in eight goals in 1,174 minutes, more than one goal every two 90s.

The striker’s injury record was poor that campaign, missing five months of the season. So to score or assist every couple of games wasn’t a bad return at all.

This new loan should give John-Jules the chance to get playing again in League One, after he was sidelined on loan with Blackpool.

Neil Critchley hadn’t given the 20-year-old a game since October 16th, even though he was fit, which is why Arsenal made the decision to recall him in January.

The plan was always to send him back out again for the coming months.

Now an England u21 international, John-Jules will hope this latest loan really lets him show what he can do.
