Lausanne-Sport want to sign Nathan Butler-Oyedeji when his contract expires at Arsenal this month.
Standard Sport understands the Swiss Super League club are willing to pay around £300,000 in instalments in training compensation fees to Arsenal in accordance with FIFA regulations, but personal terms with Butler-Oyedeji are not yet agreed.
The 22-year-old has been at Arsenal since the age of eight but will leave as a free agent this month and is in the process of deciding his next move.
Arsenal announced on June 4 that the striker would be one of 20 players across their men’s, women’s and youth teams to be leaving the club this summer.
Butler-Oyedeji featured twice for Arsenal at senior level, with both appearances coming this season off the bench. He played against Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League in January and Ipswich in the Premier League in April, but will now depart.
A regular goalscorer for Arsenal at Under-21 level, Butler-Oyedeji’s other senior experience to date came during loan spells in the EFL with Accrington Stanley and Cheltenham Town.
