Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah has spoken of his frustrations at Leeds United last season.

The Arsenal striker joined the Whites in August 2019 to replace Kemar Roofe on a season-long loan.

However, Nketiah couldn't dislodge Patrick Bamford as Marcelo Bielsa's first-choice striker and made 17 Championship appearances but only two starts, which didn't come until December 29.

“It was very frustrating," he told The Athletic.

“I'd played quite well whenever I'd come on or started and felt I was in good form. That was a difficult time, but those things are going to happen in your career, so it was good to deal with it at a young age and learn how to get past it."

"There was no fall-out with the manager or anyone else," he explained despite Arsenal ending his loan six months early.

“I had a wonderful time there and met a lot of lovely people."
