Arsenal midfielder Jorginho appreciates Juventus and has already made contact with sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli, according to Calciomercato.

The Italy international joined the Gunners from Chelsea during the 2023 winter transfer window and he has been a key player in the centre of the park.

Jorginho has been in and out of manager Mikel Arteta’s plans, but he has stood out with his performances on most occasions for the Gunners.

Despite this, there is uncertainty over his future at the club. His current deal expires at the end of June and Arsenal are yet to exercise an extension clause.

Juventus are keeping a close eye on the situation and it is claimed that Jorginho has already contacted Giuntoli about a potential free transfer.

The Serie A outfit are currently assessing whether Arsenal will trigger their renewal option or not this summer.

If the outcome is negative, it is claimed that a deal could depend on Thiago Motta, who is likely to succeed Massimiliano Allegri as Juventus’ manager

Arsenal have big decision to make on Jorginho

The Gunners signed the 32-year-old for £12 million in early 2023. The move has proved worthwhile with the midfielder providing quality cover for the manager.

With Thomas Partey’s fitness issues, Jorginho has benefitted from a regular run in the starting XI this term, but he may struggle for minutes next season.

Arsenal are interested in landing another marquee midfielder. This could reduce Jorginho’s playing time if he stayed at the club.

The club may trigger the option to keep him for another year so they can secure a small transfer fee through his sale this summer.

They could also decide to keep the £110,000-a-week star. Partey is a more valuable player at 30 and could be sold as he enters the final year of his contract due to his injury record.
