Arsenal attacking midfielder Bukayo Saka is not keen on being referred to as ‘Starboy’ on social media, according to the Daily Mail.

The Gunners social media team constantly refer to him as ‘Starboy’, but the nickname has now been banned and fans will not be seeing it on any of the club’s accounts.

It is the nickname of one of his favourite musicians – Nigerian pop star Wizkid – a connection most people would think Saka would be flattered to have.

Gunners supporters have continued to call him ‘Starboy’ in the comments section of his social media accounts, and they are unlikely to stop.

Saka has lived up to the hype this term after impressing last season when he bagged 15 goals and 11 assists in 48 games.

The Arsenal academy graduate has tallied 18 goals and 14 assists in 44 appearances this term and will be desperate to help lead his side to Premier League glory.

Saka was a few months away from his third birthday the last time the club won the English top-flight title and he will hope to end their woeful run this term.

Arsenal currently lead the way at the top of the Premier League table by three points having played a game more than second-placed Liverpool.

They must win their remaining four games and pray that the Reds and Manchester City drop points for their dreams to come true.

They are back in action on Sunday when they visit Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to face their local rivals.

‘Starboy’ and his teammates will be eager to prove their title credentials all over again.
