Arsenal Sign Egyptian Born Talent Cameron Ismail to First Pro Contract
Arsenal FC've officially announced the signing of Cam'ron Harry Ismail a promising Egyptian descended left back, to his 1st professional contract marking proud milestone in the teenager’s career.
Speaking to the club’s website, the 18 year old described the moment as dream:
"It’s very proud moment. I’ve dreamt of this day for long time. I’m honoured to represent Arsenal and I give my all for this badge every day"
Born in Islington, just 10 minute from the Emirates Stadium, Ismail grew up supporting the Gunners, idolizing Theo Walcott. He joined the Arsenal Academy in 2021 progressing through the ranks thanks to standout performances especially during the 2024 /25 season.
Ismail now has his sights set on cementing his place with the U21 squad with hopes of breaking into Arsenal’s 1st team soon:
"A strong pre season's vital. I want to earn my place and be ready for any first team opportunity"
Cam'ron's previously attended Egypt U20 camps keeping the door open for potential national team call ups. A future partnership with Mohamed Salah in the Egyptian senior squad could be on the horizon.
If Ismail breaks through, he would become the 2nd Egyptian to feature for Arsenal’s first team following Mohamed Elneny who joined from FC Basel in 2016 and stayed until summer 2024 before moving to Al Jazira Club in the UAE.
