According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are considering making an approach for Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman.

It had previously been reported that Der Rekordmeister were hoping to offload Coman this summer due to his lucrative annual salary, combined with his consistent injury issues.

Despite a number of top European sides stating their interest in the winger, Bayern’s only concrete offer thus far has come from Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal.

Nevertheless, as stated in the report, Coman could still remain in Europe, with the Premier League as a possible destination.

It is understood that Arsenal are exploring a deal for the 28-year-old, with Gunners boss Mikel Arteta hoping to add attacking reinforcement to their squad as they look to cement a title push this season.

However, Arsenal would struggle to match Coman’s current wage demands at Bayern, meaning that competing with a move to Saudi Arabia would be difficult financially.

Regardless, a move to the Premier League would offer the Frenchman the chance to continue playing in a top European league as well as the Champions League, an incentive Arsenal hope will help them in their attempt to lure Coman away from Bavaria.
