Arsenal have set a launch date and first match outing for the new 2022/23 black away kit, according to a report.

Arsenal Fixture News report that Arsenal will launch their new 2022/23 black kit on Wednesday, 20th July in Orlando. The team will then wear the new shirt that evening for the match against Orlando City.

The expectation is that the shirt will go on sale in the UK on the same day.

Arsenal tend to use their pre-season tour to advertise their new shirt releases nowadays, so it’s not a surprise to see them doing the same again this summer.

The team’s long-awaited return to the US seems like a great time to get some merchandise sales in.

As for the pink third kit, early reports suggest it will be released as part of the Emirates Cup event in late July. Though those reports came out before Arsenal announced the game would be against Sevilla.

Sevilla aren’t the ideal team to wear a pink kit against, given they wear red and white. They did at least have a black third kit this season, so perhaps they’ll wear those colours and Arsenal will wear pink on the day.

It will be strange to see the Gunners playing at home in an alternate kit, but it would be far from the first time – particularly in pre-season.
