The Daily Mail claim Arsenal scouts have watched Glen Kamara playing for Rangers in six consecutive games. Most recently, they would’ve seen him play 80 minutes in a 2-1 win over league leaders Celtic.

For those who don’t know, Kamara spent five years with Arsenal before leaving on a free transfer to join Dundee in 2017.

After a couple of years with Dundee, the midfielder made enough of an impression to earn a move to Rangers. He quickly became a starter, and he’s up to 29 appearances for the team this season.

It’s a huge improvement from a player who only managed one senior appearance for Arsenal. The Finland international is now 24, and the Gunners could look to tempt him back to help with their defensive midfield problems.

Kamara is on a run of eight consecutive league wins with Rangers. The only game his club didn’t win in that time period was the only one he missed. It was also the only game in nine when they conceded more than one goal.

The midfielder also played all-but-eight minutes of Rangers’ Europa League group stage. The team finished one point off the top of the group (behind FC Porto) and made it through to knockout stages.

Arsenal continuing to scout Kamara suggests they aren’t put off by what they’ve seen so far. If it’s enough to spark a bid is another matter.
